Analysis of fault causes in load circuit of induction furnace

The load circuit includes induction coil, compensation capacitor, intermediate frequency transformer, connecting copper bar and water cable. Therefore, the fault of the load circuit is mainly caused by the failure or failure of the above components.

(1) When the load circuit fails, the following phenomena will occur:

1) Unable to start work.

2) It can start to work, but when it reaches a certain voltage or current, the inverter will fail and the protection will stop.

3) It can start work, but it has irregular inversion.

4) It can work normally, but it often burns down the inverter thyristor.

(2) The causes of the failure are as follows:

1) Short circuit of medium frequency compensation capacitor. In the parallel inverter circuit, the compensation capacitor and the inductor are in parallel. When the medium frequency compensation capacitor is short circuited, the load circuit will be short circuited, so the load circuit will not oscillate and the equipment will not start.

2) The withstand voltage of medium frequency compensation capacitor is reduced. The withstand voltage of medium frequency compensation capacitor is 750V. When the withstand voltage of medium frequency compensation capacitor is low, the inverter will fail after working to a fixed medium frequency voltage.
