When longitudinal cracks appear on the furnace wall, the temperature should be raised slowly to bridge the cracks before smelting.

2. When transverse cracks appear in the furnace wall, fine powder refractory can be filled in the transverse cracks according to the actual situation, and then it can be melted.

3. When the furnace bottom is eroded, the lining material can be used for repairing, and after repairing, the iron plate is used to cover it, and the metal charge is added to melt at low power for a period of time, and then the full power is used to melt.

4. The maintenance of medium frequency electric furnace lining is generally carried out under the condition of cold furnace. The furnace should be cooled by natural cooling or water cooling system, and water spraying cooling is not allowed.

5. After smelting, the molten iron will be purified. In order to prevent cracks on the furnace wall, asbestos board should be added on the furnace mouth for heat preservation.

If the furnace is shut down for a long time, the temperature should be raised and melted slowly at the next blowing in, so that the small cracks in the charge can be closed by themselves.
